N.H. has Highest Income, Lowest Poverty Rate
A
newspaper article pointed out to me by my old friend Harry Hawk
notes that New Hampshire has the highest median income and lowest
poverty rate in the nation.
New Hampshire also has no income tax or state sales tax. This web
page shows that it has a lower state tax burden than any other
state in the country other than Alaska (and Alaska largely funds its
state government by taxing oil production).
Coincidence?
